Volvo develops a whistle noise while driving. The following Volvo models have a oil filter housing that all works as a pcv system. Volvo calls this system the oil trap or flame trap box. If the box develops a whistle noise it either has a crack or has a busted seal and must be replaced. It is a good idea to replace the hose connected to this box too.
